It’s not surprising that this is one of the easiest and most adaptable succulent-stemmed “pachycaul” trees, given its wide range across Northern Mexico and Baja into Southern Arizona. This species is still quite slow compared to most trees, making it a good candidate for both bonsai and planting in a desert garden where controlling growth can be an advantage. Despite its relative accessibility, we’ve seen well-trained mature bonsai specimens command large sums in the collector market, which is a testament to the timeless popularity of this very dependable and rewarding species. We’ve found there is a lot of variation in the size and shape of the foliage, but plants always have pairs of leaflets with serrate margins and the characteristic golden-brown peeling bark. The plant on offer is a seed-grown specimen that we have been deliberately training and was selected for pre-bonsai characteristics.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Rare Plant Catalog","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52136545747224,"sku":null,"price":45.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0912\/1175\/9896\/files\/burserafagaroides.png?v=1780531352"}],"url":"https:\/\/rareplantcatalog.com\/collections\/genus-bursera.oembed","provider":"Rare Plant Catalog","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
